Music Tuition at Colneis

Music tuition on the violin, flute, clarinet and guitar is provided by peripatetic music teachers who visit the school on a weekly basis.

As many of you know, learning to play an instrument is a long term project so pupils are encouraged to practice regularly and continue to take lessons over their time at the school.

Instruments can be secured on loan from Suffolk County Council as part of the tuition fee that is payable each year. Parents are, however, responsible for the upkeep of the instrument and for the provision of music strings, reeds, etc. Tuition costs are paid in September for the academic year and vary according to the instrument chosen.
