Eat Well Wednesday – Spring 2016

We have been working really hard learning about healthy eating. We invited a representative from Live Well Suffolk to one of our council meetings. Firstly, we learnt about the five important food groups: carbohydrates, protein, dairy, fruit and vegetables. Then we looked at how much sugar is in a variety of drinks, and measured it out. The results were astonishing!

It is important to eat a balanced meal at lunchtime so that we can concentrate in our lessons; therefore our school will be taking part in Eat Well Wednesday. This is where anybody that has a packed lunch with an item from each of the food groups, will be given a sticker. We are presenting an assembly to the school to introduce ‘Eat Well Wednesday’.
